The man accused of harassing American Idol host Ryan Seacrest pleaded no contest to felony stalking at a court hearing on Tuesday.
Chidi Uzomah, a special forces reserve for the U.S. Army, was charged in November with a felony count of stalking and two misdemeanour counts of violating a court order after he was found wielding a knife at Seacrest's Los Angeles office.
The 25 year old pleaded not guilty to the charges at a hearing in L.A. on 3 November, but was arraigned again last month after the case was moved to a different court.
He was due back in court on 9 March for a pre-trial hearing, where he entered the no contest plea, reports TMZ.com.
Seacrest has been awarded a protective order against Uzomah, which bans him from going within 500 yards (457.2 metres) of the TV presenter.
According to TMZ, Uzomah could serve up to two years behind bars if convicted.
